XDR
Technology
XDR Technology refers to our new generation of eXtended Dynamic
Range CCD cameras.
By working closely with our manufacturing partners, Pro-Optocam have
developed a range of XDR cameras suitable for a wide variety of project
applications.
Pro-Optocam have taken the Sony Xwave Sensor Technology and incorporated
enhanced digital control of the parameters controlling the image dynamics.
This results in a range of cameras with an outstanding eXtended Dynamic
Range, capable of producing excellent results in the most challenging
video environments.
The Xwave sensor is the latest development in sensor design and has a
sensitivity which extends further into the near infrared spectrum, it builds on
the performance of the HyperHAD device and coupled with our XDR
technology offers the following improvements compared to HyperHAD.
- Greatly improved sensitivity (approx. twice that of
HyperHAD)
- Low noise generation - Resulting in a far better signal / noise ratio
- Better colour rendition - Natural colour response
- XDR - Produces greater detail
under difficult lighting conditions.
- Low streaking and blooming - no camera blinding
- Enhanced Infrared response - Colour / Mono Performance
Pro-Optocam offer a range of XDR cameras to suit Mono, Colour and
Colour / Mono switching applications.
Our LED
IR illuminator
makes an excellent partner for the XDR camera technology, providing
efficient and highly reliable infrared illumination for security designers.
